How RotoWall Works

The Games
Connections
Find the 4 groups of 4 players that share a hidden connection. You get 4 mistakes before the game ends. Categories are color-coded by difficulty — yellow is easiest, purple is hardest.
Scoring: Score is based on mistakes: 0 mistakes = 100 pts, 1 = 75, 2 = 50, 3 = 25. A loss scores 0.
Immaculate Grid
Fill a 3x3 grid where each cell must be a player who matches both the row clue and column clue. You get 9 guesses total — one wrong answer costs a guess without filling the cell.
Scoring: Each cell scores based on rarity — fewer people who guessed that player means more points. A perfect grid with rare picks scores highest.
Player Wordle
Guess the mystery player in 8 tries. After each guess, 7 attributes (team, position, conference, division, experience, age, jersey number) are revealed as exact match, close, or wrong.
Scoring: Fewer guesses = higher score. Solving in 1 guess = 100 pts, scaling down to 8 guesses = 15 pts. A miss scores 0.
Predict
Pick Over or Under on 5-6 real stat props from actual seasons. Lock in all your picks, then see the results.
Scoring: Score = percentage of correct picks. 5/6 correct = 83 pts, 6/6 = 100 pts.
How Puzzles Are Made
Every puzzle is built from real player data. We pull rosters, stats, awards, and career history from public sports databases to ensure accuracy.
New puzzles publish daily at midnight Eastern Time. Each sport gets its own puzzle when available — so you might see an NFL Connections, an NBA Grid, and an MLB Wordle all on the same day.
Puzzle difficulty is calibrated by mixing well-known stars with deeper cuts. Connections categories are ranked 1-4 by difficulty. Grid clues combine common filters (team, position) with trickier ones (awards, draft picks). Wordle mystery players range from household names to role players.
Streaks & Leaderboard
Sign in with Google to track your stats. Each game tracks your current streak and best streak independently. Play every day to keep your streak alive.
The leaderboard ranks players by total score across all games. Consistency matters — playing and solving daily adds up faster than occasional perfect scores.
You can play without an account — your progress saves locally in your browser. But signing in lets you track stats across devices and appear on the leaderboard.
